Subject: Lightning Damage at ELWA
Dear Fellow Pilgrim,
This hopefully will alert you to pray more fervently and move you to
be a little more involve with the Ministry of ELWA as the Lord
directs.
On Thursday night, 13 June, lightning hit the ELWA Compound,
destroying two panel boxes and a power meter which supply the Radio
Station. The AVR and main contactor on the 75 kva both got damaged as
well. The generator switching system at the power-house was also
affected.
Additionally, parts of the radio transmitter and control board were
destroyed. Our technicians are still conducting their assessment so as
to determine the level of destruction. Hospital back up generator and
some of appliances were also hit.
Please pray that they will be able to identify damage parts and to
spot any potential danger to our equipment in the face of another
lightning strike.
Most of you have been standing in the GAP with us and we will
encourage you to continue to do so that ELWA can impact lives for the
Kingdom of God. You are all a vital part of the work here at ELWA.
